As I haue walked Lord vntire wth thee
As thee I'aue trusted too soe too, soe iudge of mee
Proue then my hart for those my reines thoust hast tried
T'was thy goodness Lord that they did not slide
Wth noe deceauers or wth persons vaine
Haue I a seat in ther assemblys t'aine
When I my hands in innocence cleare brooke
Had washt I my way to thyn Alter tooke
That wth a thankfull hart I might declare
Thy workes & tell of thy great goodness ther
vnTo thy house ô Lord my loue inclines
The Tabernacle where thyn honor shines
Lett nott my soule wth sinners ranked be
Nor yitt my life wth men of cruelty
For in ther hands a mischefe ready lies
By Bribes, ther will from doing Justice tyes
But wth a faithful hart I'le keep thy way
And bless the Lord when in his house I pray

Modernized Text

As I have walked Lord untire [tirelessly] with thee;
As thee I've trusted too, so judge of me.
Prove then my heart, for those my reins hast tried:
T'was thy goodness, Lord, that they did not slide.
With no deceivers or with persons vain
Have I a seat in their assemblies ta'en [taken].
When I my hands in innocence's clear brook
Had washed, I my way to thine altar took,
That with a thankful heart I might declare
Thy works and tell of thy great goodness there.
Unto thy house, oh Lord, my love inclines,
The Tabernacle where thine honor shines.
Let not my soul with sinners rankéd be,
Nor yet my life with men of cruelty.
For in their hands a mischief ready lies;
By bribes their will from doing justice ties.
But with a faithful heart I'll keep thy way
And bless the Lord when in his house I pray.
